About Me

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Reiki Practitioner, and Yoga Instructor.

My own healing journey has been began with an eating disorder in my teens, and later a rare, debilitating neurological disease that appeared in my early twenties. My body and my nervous system have demanded, loudly, that I dive deep in order to heal. And deeper, and deeper, and still deepening. Through my journey, my body and my nervous system have become by guides, teachers, and friends. Befriending the nervous system is in many ways a template of my work.

Since I was very young I was attracted to meditation and yoga. When I began sitting meditation retreats and training in yoga in my teens, I knew: this is the path. Meditation and yoga gave me a template for how to hold my own pain. Maybe more importantly, they led me to some of my teachers and healers who have been so important on my journey.

A good healer, I have learned, is someone who provides the space for you to journey home to yourself. They illuminate the places where unconsciousness and trauma reside, and support the unwinding of these places while holding a presence of comfort and ease.

My training in clinical social work has provided me with a deeper map and understanding of trauma, relationship, and society. The world is not an easy place to be in, especially now, and I believe that we all need support. My vision for the future is that psychotherapy will become even more commonplace, and that healers will be available to all in the modality that suits them. For me, talk therapy was not enough and my healing required (requires) an integration of the body within the context of spiritual practice. I bring to my therapy practice the tools that I have learned along the way, and I offer space for you to find what works for you. My approach is trauma-sensitive and informed by polyvagal theory, interpersonal neurobiology, somatics, and attachment/relational theories.

I have found respite and refuge in yoga, meditation, reiki, and dance improvisation. I offer these tools in reverence and hope that they provide a light for others. I am trained in Embodyoga® (500hrs), Mettler-based dance improvisation (500hrs) and have completed training in Usui Master Reiki training and Trauma Release Exercises®.

My experiences with plant medicine have been so important in shaping my healing journey. I believe that psychotherapy is taking a new shape as psychedelics become more integrated in treatment practices. I have trained in psychedelic medicine and am happy to offer support in integration after psychedelic experiences.

I believe that all wellness spaces should actively work to be inclusive of all identities. I welcome you as you are. As a white, cis-gender, straight and able-bodied person, I work actively to deconstruct my own privilege and ways that I participate in oppression. As a woman and person who has experienced trauma and chronic illness, I also work to own my power and aliveness despite oppressive circumstances or environment.
