Psychotherapy (virtual or in person)
"The key to healing lies within us, and the role of the therapist is to facilitate the unlocking of our inner sources of wisdom and healing." - Stan Grof
Psychotherapy is the backdrop of all other services I offer, providing a framework for safely moving through layers of trauma and pain and toward healing and true wellbeing. I primarily draw on psychodynamic, relational, and neurobiological theories to help bring insight and understanding to patterns which might be keeping you stuck. I am also informed by Polyvagal Theory, Somatic Experiencing, and Internal Family Systems. The feeling of being in relationship informs how we see ourselves, others, and the world. As we form and navigate a therapeutic relationship, there is all kinds of opportunity for repatterning our systems that may have wired in trauma, overwhelm, or a feeling of not being safe. Creating an environment of safety in session is where healing begins.
In virtual sessions, I offer guided meditations tailored to the needs and topic of the session, investigations of patterns of thought and feeling, and practical solutions for navigating life’s challenges. I always work to support the person I am working with to uncover their own intuition and wisdom as I believe this is something we all have that points us in the direction of wellbeing.
I believe that our earliest relationships shape us in profound ways, and because of this, healing also happens within relationships. In our work together, I aim to create a compassionate and supportive space where you can safely explore your inner landscape and rewire your embodied experience of connection and trust.
